Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 29 September: At a star-studded event in Riyadh tonigh, Disney+ officially unveiled a new app experience coming to customers across the region on the evening of 6 October. Along with the new Disney+ app launch, customers can enjoy an action-packed slate of new shows, plus the beloved fan favorites they know and love.
The new Disney+ app brings together a lifetime of great stories for every generation, from award-winning drama and comedy to family favorites and iconic animation, with an enhanced experience designed to make discovering and enjoying them even easier.
A new way to experience Disney+
The new app will enable customers to stream Disney+ on-the-go across Europe, the United States and beyond, while delivering increasingly personalized content recommendations based on individual viewing preferences over time, making it easier for customers to discover more of the stories they love.
As the ultimate entertainment destination for the whole family, Disney+ continues to put families at the heart of the viewing experience. Enhanced parental controls and Junior Mode, known in Arabic as عالم الصغار, will offer a dedicated space with curated content for younger viewers, giving parents greater control and added peace of mind over what their families watch.
More stories to love
With the new app, comes new content! October alone will bring a packed line-up of new and returning entertainment, with the eighth installment of “The Kardashians” arriving on 8 October and “The Simpsons” Season 38 on 12 October. Marvel Television’s highly anticipated “VisionQuest” premiers on 14 October, followed by the beloved “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 23 coming in October. Families can also look forward to Disney’s “Moana” live-action, coming in Autumn.
The region’s love for Turkish drama also continues with the second season of “Halef”, which was announced at the event by stars İlhan Şen and Biran Damla Yılmaz. Following the success of its first season, the hit series will bring audiences back to a story and cast that have already built a passionate following.
Leading the upcoming content slate is the highly anticipated Korean series “The Remarried Empress”, arriving on Disney+ on 4 November. With K-dramas continuing to capture audiences across the region, the series joins an exciting line-up of Korean entertainment on Disney+, including “Merry Berry Love”, arriving on 7 October.

A regional first for Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5”
Disney+ also announced a landmark first for Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5”, which will become the first-ever film from The Walt Disney Company to be dubbed in the Saudi dialect alongside the MSA and Egyptian dubs.
The Saudi Arabic adaptation brings together leading Saudi actors, comedians and content creators to lend their voices to some of the franchise’s most beloved characters. Developed with close attention to language, humor and cultural context, the adaptation has been created to capture the spirit of the original film while making its dialogue feel authentic and familiar to Saudi audiences.
The Saudi Arabic voice cast is set to include Ibraheem Khairallah (Buzz Lightyear), Sohaib Qudus (Woody), Reem Alhabib (Jessie), Malik Nejer (Smarty Pants), Aseel Seraj (Lilypad), Yaser Al Saqaf (Atlas), Aseel Morya (Snappy), Mohammad Al Qass (Mr. Pricklepants), Abdullah Rafeaa (Forky), Shahad Al Ahmari (Bo Peep), Rahaf Al Zaidi (Trixie) and Fares Al Yahya (Duckie).
The cast will also feature familiar faces from across the Kingdom’s creator community, including Mohammed Salem, Khawlah Al Saif, Yasmeen Al Shafei, Abdulaziz Khuja, Hadi Al Khodari, Dr. Adel Radwan, Abdulaziz Al Dulaijan and Mohammed Shamsi.
