The 11th edition of El Gouna International Squash Open for Men and Women, a PSA Platinum event, ended today after eight days of exciting matches. The tournament was held in El Gouna, the fully integrated sustainable town in the Red Sea by Orascom Development. Men’s World No. 3 Ali Farag wins first place over Mostafa Assal with a score of 12-10 10-12 11-6 11-2 matches. Additionally, Women’s World No. 2 Nouran Gohar secured her title over Nele Gilis World No.8 after a 58-minute match to claim first place, with a score of 11-5 11-7 11-9
This year’s El Gouna International Squash Open marked the beginning of a new era, organized by El Gouna and i-events, powered by long-term sponsor Commercial International Bank Egypt (CIB), the keenest in supporting sports in Egypt, especially squash. The El Gouna International Squash Open, Men and Women PSA Platinum is regarded as one of the top eight biggest squash tournaments globally and saw the participation of 96 players from 21 countries
