The Saudi International Pharma & Medlab Expo concluded its activities successfully. The exhibition, organized by 1st Araia Tradeshows & Conferences in collaboration with the Saudi Scientific Association for Medical Sensors, the Saudi Association for Clinical Chemistry, and Al-Majmaah University, saw participation from over three thousand specialized visitors and featured more than 150 exhibitors from 15 countries, representing major pharmaceutical and laboratory industry companies. These exhibitors presented a wide range of products and services, including pharmaceuticals, new medical devices, laboratory equipment, and diagnostic tests
The exhibition witnessed the signing of several agreements and partnerships among the participating entities, allowing the exchange of experiences and information between the participants. Specialized educational workshops were held, and the Saudi Scientific Conference for Pharmacy and Medical Laboratories took place. Participants were awarded 19 accredited scientific hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Distinguished Saudi and international doctors and specialists shed light on the latest developments in this field, including the diagnosis of infectious diseases through immunological and serological tests, the future of clinical laboratories, laboratory technologies, workforce enhancement in clinical laboratories to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services, the impact of drug interactions on laboratory test results, and the significance of potential partnerships in private sector laboratories. The conference also highlighted key areas of development in the medical laboratories sector, particularly in terms of quality and reliability. The Kingdom emphasized the elevation of the quality of medical laboratory services and ensured their compliance with international standards and specifications by launching several external quality assurance programs aimed at evaluating the performance of laboratories in various specialties and tests to enhance results
